As noted in a previous blog entry , the daily El Pais , in its edition of February 3, the echoed the novelty of the 2011 edition of Population Census this time based on a survey of 10 of the population.
The justification for this decision, as argued by Antonio Argüeso, deputy general demographic statistics of the INE, is based on "save time and money" to suppress the realization of a universal census siguinedo the classic model of this type of sources and reduce 20,000 to 5,000 census workers hired. At the same time, the census of 2011 aims to take advantage of available administrative records, as tested in 2001 with the municipal population registry.
