How To Write A Court Scene

MOBILITY WEEK 2010 AND MOBILITY CHILD

between 16 and 22 September was held the European Mobility Week. In Spain had joined in 2010 this initiative more than 565 cities individually and pooled. The central idea of \u200b\u200bthe campaign this year is Travel Smarter, Live Better, Move with intelligence lives better.

Despite budget cuts participating cities have organized activities to promote sustainable transport modes, walking, bicycling and public transport, while some of them also have joined the initiative Day without my car.

In regard to child mobility, have developed interesting experiences. The city of Burgos , developed the Super Bus campaign to promote bus use urnabo between girls and boys from 10 to 12 years. In Granada, Diputación has proposed a project for school path for different municipalities of the Costa Tropical. In Albacete during this week's activities have provided data from a study on mobility to school in the capital of La Mancha. Other cities where activities were held with children to school mobility are Córdoba, Donostia-San Sebastián , San Fernando de Henares , Ermua , Irun or Durango, among others.

In other cities this year have not been held activities, in the case of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria , where Ecologists in Action has claimed " a city more friendly and less polluted" to what "should increase the space for pedestrians and reducing the space devoted to car. A similar situation has occurred in Tudela (Navarra), where the same organization also remember the city council's inactivity has organized a "protest ride through the center of Tudela Let us return to the theme the space that the car has stolen . Browsing: "Notes on Demography"

One goal of this blog is the dissemination of everything related to the population and land use that results from mobility. For this reason, I decided to create a "new section" dedicated to making a brief review of other sites or blogs with a similar perspective, complement or extend what is discussed here.

started this new section with a blog entitled Demographic Notes , maintained by Dr. Julio Pérez, researcher of the Research Group on Demographic Dynamics CSIC and former colleague at the Centre d'Estudis Demogràfics (CED). In reality it is something more than just a blog, because information is published it goes far beyond the newspaper comments on current issues (such as the recent This Statistical of Nullity, Separation and divorce in Spain, 2009 published by the INE), but a real portal on demographic issues, such as logical and necessary extension of two earlier versions of his personal website, hosted the first CED server and then in the CSIC.

Thus, apart from a section devoted to exposing the author's resume (which is its excellent work on mass maturity, the blog focuses on three specific topics, with plenty of resources and information Firstly, the aging population , secondly, in population policies and, finally, in a comprehensive and rigorous course demographics.

Undoubtedly, a constantly updated web site and extension worth visiting for the vast amount of information and resources offered.

Why Does My Cat Bite My Blanket

Goodbye to the study of usual mobility from population census?

After months of inactivity on the blog (partly caused by the teacher reader contest, won last June), we resumed, with renewed strength, the content updates. And we do with the confirmation of bad news that had been rumored for some time and that was confirmed in the past XII Congress of the English population: the population census of 2011 will be held by a sample . As

Argüeso said Antonio Jimenez, deputy general demographic statistics of the National Statistics Institute (INE), and breaking a tradition more than 150 years of history English census, the population census of 2011 based on the use of administrative records (municipal census, finances, Social Seguredad, etc.) so much of its content is already prescribed and will only confirm the information in the questionnaire. To supplement this information, we designed a survey to be completed by only 11% of the English population . As argued, this decision was not based in the greater scheme of the system (also), but "for the sake of modernity" (!) similarly to what happens in other countries.

As can be seen, for researchers this decision raises many more disadvantages than advantages. In particular field of mobility, the new methodology almost impossible to study inter mobility, since the information come from a sample, you can not have the matrix of total flows of mobility between municipalities, so Studies such as mobility or usual definition of cohesion or functional areas (with such a long tradition in our country) are unlikely to be created based on census data.

will have to rely, therefore, that this vacuum be filled by new data sources or enhancement of existing , existing in the Catalan case (one of the largest communities in this type of translation studies), Enquesta of Mobilitat Quotidiana, which should be extended with territorial representation to allow more statistical significance for smaller territorial areas.

Therefore, we believe that the decision of the INE is quite unfortunate because , meaning even greater comfort for the people (?) Means an irreparable loss of information for research.
