Last Friday the Department of Territorial Policy and Public Works of the Generlitat of Catalonia approved a help EUR 9.9 million for the rehabilitation of 36 housing estates in Catalonia.

With little time have come apart published the proceedings of the congresses of the English population held in 2006 (Pamplona) and 2008 (León).

Chronologically, the first book that we review is with respect to X Congress of the English population, organized by the University of Navarra in 2006. Actually it is not a book, but two volumes, both coordinated by C. Montoro, D. López, JJ Barcenilla Pons and MC.

The first volume entitled Territory and internal mobility of the population in Spain and includes, in fact, the rapporteurs and submissions in the second and third papers of the Congress and as the workshop. For this reason, there are several texts on subjects related to those addressed in this blog, as are the usual mobility usual self, living areas and populations involved.

The second volume entitled international immigration: engine of change and territorial sociodemoggráficos and collects the papers presented at the first lecture of the congress.

Local Agenda 21 and School Road in the City of Ermua (Vizcaya)

Under the Municipal Environmental Education Program and the Local Action Plan for Development of Sostebible Ermua, the local council of Bizkaia has launched a program of road school.

late the 2008-2009 academic year, we proceeded to the presentation of the school road experience to the educational community in the municipality of just over 16,000. During 2009-2010, the College Eskolabarri , has launched the first experience. In it, besides technicians Environment Area are participating other Departments of Public Safety and Planning.

The objectives of the project, which will run throughout this course are to strengthen and promote sustainable and safe daily mobility especially among the school community, analyze and transform the school environment in terms of sustainability and promote the empowerment of girls and boys, also in terms of mobility.
